Saudi-Iran settlement to revive relations ‘necessary step in direction of stability in area’: UAE international minister

CAIRO: United Arab Emirates international minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed on Saturday an settlement between regional arch-foes Saudi Arabia and Iran to revive diplomatic relations as an “necessary step in direction of stability and prosperity” within the area.
Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed on Friday to re-establish relations after years of hostility that had threatened stability and safety within the Gulf and helped gasoline conflicts within the Center East from Yemen to Syria.
